PAUL G. JONES, Sr., of Hagerstown, formerly of Dickerson, Maryland, Maryland, died on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Ravenwood Lutheran Village. Born July 11, 1936 in Brentwood, Maryland, he was the son of the late Howard and Lena Schitzker Jones Heiss He was employed with Pepco for 25 years as a generator operator. He loved to hunt and fish, loved bird watching and all different aspects of nature. He is survived by his former wife of 54 years, Peggy Jean Jones; a daughter, Teri Heger of Keedysville, Md.; three sons, Paul Jones of Bowie, Md., David Jones of Maugansville, Md., and Bradley Jones of Emmitsburg, Md.; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Rev. Todd R. Westphal from El Shaddai Congregation in Frederick, Maryland, will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
