PAUL BAKER GIBNEY, 86, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Meritus Medical Center. Born September 21, 1924 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Elmer Carl and Edith Mary Baker Gibney. He retired from Mack Trucks in 1988 after twenty-six years of service. Former member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church, Hagerstown. He was a member of B.O.P. Elks 378 for 65 years. He was also a member of Local 171 Union, and the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his wife, Doris Gibney; one daughter, Lisa McAllister of Clear Spring, Maryland; one son, Thomas Gibney, and his wife, Marsha, of Mt. Airy, Maryland; one brother, George Gibney of Williamsport, MD; and four grandchildren, Steven Gibney , Sarah Gibney and twins, Bradley and Brandon Gibney, all of Mt. Airy, Maryland. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Monday, June 27, 2011, from 6 to 8 pm. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
