Paul Robert Corderman of Smithsburg, MD, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Commonwealth Senior Living at Hagerstown.

Born on April 28, 1944 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Harry A. Corderman and Grace Louise (Hartle) Corderman.

Paul graduated from North Hagerstown High School, Class of 1962. He served in the army reserve and received an honorable discharge.

He was owner and president of Corderman's Hardware until retirement and closure of the store in 2011. He was a lifetime member of Christ Reformed UCC.

Paul is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Rebecca (Houck) Corderman; son, Robert L. Corderman (Rebecca) and daughter, Cheryl L. Scholl (Phil); four grandsons, Collin and Austin Corderman and Mason and Alexander Scholl; brother, Donald G. Corderman (Debra); four nephews, four grandnephews, and one niece.

He enjoyed working in his garden and yard, boating, and spending time at Raystown Lake with family. He attended many of his grandsons' games and loved spending time with family and friends. He was a train collector and put his train set up every Christmas and enjoyed hearing the whistle blow. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, and his life revolved around his family. His family was the most important thing to him. He enjoyed people and was known and loved by many.

At his request, there will be no viewing or services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
