Paul R. Andrews, 91, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his daughters home. Born February 22, 1927, he was the son of the late Frederick A. and Mary A. (Bowers) Andrews. He was preceded in death by his wife, June L. (Davis) Andrews. Paul served in the U.S. Army during WWII with the Blue Devils, the 88th Infantry Division, in Italy. He retired from Continental Baking Company in 1989 with 37 years of service. He then worked part time with Minnich Funeral Home. He was a member of American Legion Post 42, and the Evangel Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. Paul is survived by two daughters, Paula J. Eisenhower and husband, Glenn, and Brenda S. Malott and husband, David; six grandchildren, Lori A. Hall, Paul Douglas "Doug" Palmer, Krystal L. Collins, Dawn R. Emerson, Christopher D. Malott, and Andrew S. Malott; 12 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Jo Carol Mizelle; one son, David W. Andrews; two sisters, Violet L. Hays and Helen I. Miller; and three brothers, Harry L. Andrews, Charles F. Andrews, and George W. Andrews. The funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Ronald Faith will officiate. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Graveside military honors provided by American Legion Post 42. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service.
