Patti Jean Hill, 91, of Hagerstown Maryland, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on August 22, 1934, in Hagerstown, Maryland, Patti was the daughter of James G. Long and Ruth (Bennett) Long. Patti attended North Hagerstown High School. She was a substitute teacher for the Washington County School System, and an Office Manager for the Hagerstown AAA.

Patti is survived by her husband Earl E. Hill Jr., whom she was married to for 74 years. A son Todd (and wife Anita) of Winchester, Va. and a daughter Debra Parker of Allentown, PA; 3 granddaughters Ashley Auman (husband Alex), Kirstin Kidd (husband Patrick), and Courtney Hill. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren Wyatt, Andrew, Reagan, William, and Colton.

Patti loved spending time with her family and close friends. She also enjoyed being an avid member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. She is known for always putting others first and being a devoted wife, mother, and friend of many.

The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, on Wednesday, April, 8th from 5-7pm. Graveside services will be 10am Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD with Rev. Steve Humphrey officiating.
