PATSY IRENE BARNHART, 66, of Clear Spring, Maryland, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital, with her husband and children by her side. Born September 23, 1943 in Little Cove, Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Ira Moats, Sr. and Mary Moats. She had been a homemaker her whole life, and enjoyed working in her daughter's shop, "From the Heart Gifts", and enjoyed all her flower gardens at her house. Patsy is survived by her husband of fifty years, Kenneth E. Barnhart, Sr.; two daughters, Suzanne, and husband, Lynn Thomas, and Pamela Barnhart, all of Greencastle, Pennsylvania; one son, Kenneth, and wife, Kimberly, Barnhart of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Doris Barker of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, and Shelb Hovermale of Hancock, Maryland; and three brothers, Rick Moats of McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, Kenneth Moats of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, and Ira Moats, Jr. of Hancock, Maryland. She was preceded in death by a sister, Estalene Dyer of Hancock, Maryland. Funeral services will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Tuesday at 1:00 p. m. Rev. Harry Strite will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. There will be no viewing.
