Patsy Ruth Chaney, 85, of Funkstown, MD, went to be the Lord on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. Born June 3, 1935 in Boonsboro, MD, she was the daughter of the late Calvin M. and Mae Edith (Bowers) Shank. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, William Chaney, in 2014. Patsy enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is survived by four daughters, Bonnie Mowen, Brenda Mowen (Clyde), Carol Springer (Rick), and Jewel Gatrell (Ralph); five grandchildren, Amy, Derek, Stephanie, Amanda, and Carissa; two great grandchildren, Cody and Jayden; two sisters, Audrey and Joyce; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Anna, Jean, Shirley, and Connie; and three brothers, Calvin, Donald, and Gaither. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Rose Hill Cemetery. Pastor Bill Divelbiss will officiate.
