Patricia "Trish" Ruth Mulligan-Koontz, 66, of Hagerstown, MD passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 10, 2021. Born on October 29, 1954, she was the daughter of William Patrick Mulligan and the late Anna Ruth Marshall Mulligan. Trish was a 1972 graduate of Southern High School in Anne Arundel County. She was a retired school bus driver with Washington and Montgomery County Public Schools. Trish was affectionately named TT by her oldest nephew in the early 80's and it stuck ever since. She loved her family and would do anything for anyone. Although TT never had children of her own, she was the oldest of 5 siblings, and took on the role of care taker and mentor to many. Trish loved playing cards, reading, crossword puzzles, and watching game shows, one of her favorites was Steve Harvey's Family Feud. Trish loved movies and had a large collection of VHS and DVD's. She loved to play games, but would never let anyone cheat or just give them a win, she said "if you're going to play, you're going to play right." TT also loved antiques, where she spent many weekends going to auctions and finding many treasures. One time without realizing it TT was bidding against her own nephew for a painting. Trish loved animals and cared for many pets over the years, including horses, dogs, and cats. Riffe was the horse that started it all, she led into a family love for horses which has spread to everyone. Trish loved to host family gatherings and everyone loved her famous deviled eggs. Trish was rarely seen without a Diet Pepsi in hand and she was always up for a crab feed. She loved shrimp, pizza, ice cream and pancakes with plenty of butter. Trish loved Motown and collected many records when she was younger. Trish loved to go to parks, the zoo, the circus, The International Horse Show and always looked forward to the family's annual trip to the Montgomery County Fair. Trish loved to swim in her pool, go to the beach and walk the boardwalk. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all. Trish was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Ruth Mulligan, brother Rodney Mulligan, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Trish is survived by her husband Eddie Koontz, her father William Mulligan Sr., her sisters Mandee Savage (Denny) and Nora Boden (Bobby), her brother Bill Mulligan Jr. (Karin), her sister-in-law Judy Virt, stepdaughters Nicki Wangness (Craig), Heidi Cole (Matt), step grandkids Bailie and Dylan Wangness, Brittany and Reilly Chisholm, nieces and nephews Meghan Williams (Mike), Katherine Vann (Trapper), David Corbett, Buster Richards (Courtney), Marlee Lambert (Matt, Elizabeth Bull (Andrew) and Bobby Lee Boden, grand-nieces and grand-nephews Alston, Jillian, Ryder, Willow Grace, Mylee, Mattee and Lee, an uncle, aunts, and cousins.
