Patricia Gradeon Smith, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at her home.

Born February 11, 1936, in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Charles Gradeon and Alle Belle Virginia (Jones) Midkiff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Mr. Bill" Smith on February 5, 2024.

Patricia spent most of her life raising her children. She worked for John Hopkins Research for 20 years.

She is survived by five children, Robin Osik (husband, Stephen), Blaine "Jay" Snyder (wife, Sonnie), Michele Smith, Pamela Sumlin (husband, Roy), and Jennifer Hines (husband, Matt); 21 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret "Mike" Stickley; and one brother, Douglas Midkiff.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Hopkins and Betty Helsley; and two brothers, William Midkiff and Robert Midkiff.

There will be a Graveside Service at 10:00am Monday, May 13, 2024, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Curt Snyder will officiate.
