Patricia Hoover, born August 21, 1939 in Hagerstown, MD, left this world peacefully on August 7, 2026 surrounded by her beloved family. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Gene, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years, her parents Joseph and Minnie Waters, and her siblings.

A cherished mother, Patricia is survived by her daughter, Teresa and husband Mike, her son, Steve and partner Christine, her treasured granddaughters, Kelsie, Anna, Amy and husband Travis, and Kara. She leaves behind a legacy of love that extends to numerous great grandchildren.

Patricia retired from the family business, Hoover Forklift Sales, a company established in 1978 with her husband and son.

She was an active member of Boonsboro Bible Church. Her life was enriched by her love for travel, often taking joy in family vacations and spending winters at Fort Wilderness Disney’s Campground where her family would gather. Known for her generous spirit, Patricia found immense joy in being involved with her grandchildren’s activities and was always ready to lend a helping hand.

Her family and friends will remember Patricia as a woman of warmth and kindness, whose life was a testament to the power of love and generosity. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished.

A private service was held for the family.
