Norman Junior
Davis
May 2, 1942 — Feb 8, 2026
Norman Junior Davis, aged 83, a lifelong resident of Hagerstown, Md, passed away peacefully on the 8th of February, 2026, at Doey's House surrounded by the love of his family. Born on May 2nd, 1942, to the late Norman W. Davis and Margaret Davis (Rockwell).
He was a proud graduate of South Hagerstown High School. After high school, Norman answered the call to serve his country in the U.S. Navy, instilling in him a sense of discipline and pride that he carried into his work and family life. Upon returning from service, Norman joined CSX where he dedicated many years before retiring.
At home, Norman was the loving husband to Margery Davis and the cherished father of sons Norman E. Davis and wife Carla, Gary E. Davis, John F. Davis and wife Amy, and Jeffery E. Nixon. He also found joy in his role as a brother, survived by Diane Bartles and Roger Davis, and he held dear his memories of his late brothers Robert W. Davis and Ronnie Davis and his late sisters Joann Phillips, Naomi Poole, Dolores Davis, and Wanda Davis. He also treasured his relationship with his many nieces and nephews.
An avid sports fan, Norman rarely missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams—the New York Yankees, Baltimore Ravens, and the Maryland Terrapins.
The four-legged members of the family, his treasured pets, would also attest to his gentle and loving nature, having been on the receiving end of his care and affection.
Norman Junior Davis will be dearly missed, forever remembered, and always celebrated by those who were fortunate enough to know him. We bid farewell to a remarkable man whose memory will continue to inspire kindness, laughter, and love in the years to come. Rest in peace, Norman. Your family, friends, and the community you've so profoundly impacted will hold and cherish your memory in their hearts forever.
