Obituary

Norma Jean Ryland, 89, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025.

Born July 10, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Agnes Fischer Udich, and she attended Baltimore Public Schools.

Norma worked for Baltimore National Bank and Todd Vending Service in Baltimore, Maryland. She was then a wife and mother for many years in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Later in life, after her children were grown, she worked for Citibank in Hagerstown until she retired at 70 years old.

She enjoyed being a Mom and spending time with family; she loved the beach, especially Ocean City, MD.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, William "Jack" Ryland.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon DeLauder (Bill) of Fleming Island, FL, and Jackie Day (Eric) of Melbourne, FL.

She was a loving grandmother to Chase DeLauder of Jacksonville, Florida, Taylor Hughes (Jaron) of Green Cove Springs, FL, Brooke Moore (Eamonn) of St. Augustine, FL, and Dylan Day of Melbourne, FL.

She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Brooklyn and Brayden Hughes of Green Cove Springs, FL.

She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her abiding faith in God. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

There will be no viewing, and interment will be private.
