NORMA JEAN BENNER, 68, of Broadfording Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at her home. Born August 4, 1942 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Norman W. and Emmie Fayebelle Hines Gerberich. She attended South Hagerstown High School. She was employed for forty-five years in the restaurant industry, working with several local clubs and serving a number of banquets. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a member of A.A.R.P., and Funkstown American Legion, Post 211. She is survived by her husband, John A. Benner; two daughters, Elayne Seiler, and husband, Kelley, and Pamela Molina, and husband, Jose, all of Hagerstown; two sons, Dwayne Brunner, and wife, Terry, of Pasadena, Maryland, and Dale Brunner, and wife, Dianne, of Hagerstown; two brothers, Terry Gerberich of Maugansville, Maryland, and David Gerberich of Falling Waters, West Virginia; one stepdaughter, Ruth (Sissy) Miller of Hagerstown; three stepsons, David Benner, and wife, Lori, Mark Benner, and wife, Theresa, and John Benner, and wife, Brenda, all of Hagerstown; a special niece, Linda Shantz of Hagerstown; and twelve grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a. m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Christopher Moore will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown then proceed to the church.
