Nora "Marian" Welsh, 90, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on December 6, 2017. She was born on January 16, 1927. Marian worked as telephone operator at C&P Telephone Company before working as a photograph developer for the Herald Mail, from where she retired. She loved sewing, quilting, and gardening. Marian was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading her bible. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, but most of all, she loved her Saturday night poker games. Marian was predeceased by her mother, Margaret "Maggie" (Draper) Jarvis, and her husband, Grant Edward "Eddie" Welsh. She is survived by her children, Deborah Small (Mike), Neil Bradley Welsh (Cynthia), and Jamie Lou Welsh. She was a loving grandmother to Sarah Welsh, Joshua Welsh, Heather Linz (John), and Jessica Small. Marian was a cherished great-grandmother to Kelsey and Riley Linz. Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 6 - 8 pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. A funeral service will be held at 7pm on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
