NICK GEORGE VINDIVICH, SR., 75, of 15434 National Pike, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Maryland. Born July 24, 1933 in Whitsett, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late George and Dorothy Bognovich Vindivich. He was a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War, retiring from the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Potomac Fish and Game Club, Williamsport, American Legion, Post 202, B.P.O.Elks 378, the Shriner's, and the Masonic Lodge, Little Rose of the Alps, West Germany. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Tamako Vindivich; three sons, Donald Vindivich, and wife Elizabeth, of Baltimore, Maryland, Mark Allen Vindivich, and wife Kelli Sue, of Boonsboro, Maryland, and Nick G. Vindivich, Jr., and wife Brenda Lee, of Williamsport, Maryland; one sister, Mary Alfano of California, Pennsylvania; three brothers, Mike Vindivich of Perryopolis, Pennsylvania, Ronald Vindivich of Tacoma, Washington, and Sam Vindivich of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Nick G. Vindivich, III, Ashley Vindivich, Nicole Eberling, and Jessica Sue McAllister; two great-grandchildren, Tora Eberling, and Jade Eberling; and a special friend, Cynthia Lum. He was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Evans, and three brothers, George (Pete) Vindivich, Eli Vindivich, and Donnie Vindivich. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Pastor Kevin R. Green will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p. m.
