NELDA VIRGINIA DAUGHERTY FOLTZ, 95, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Ravenwood Nursing Care Center. Born July 18, 1917, in Williamsport, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Howard James Daugherty and Ethel "Faye" Shull Daughterty. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. Surviving family members include one daughter, Carolyn Sue Foltz Turner of North Dartmouth, Massachusetts; two sons, Carroll Phillip Foltz and Henry "Tim" Calvin Foltz, III of Hagerstown; grandchildren Caitlin McKenna and Allison Turner of Boston, Massachusetts, Brian Foltz and Bethany Foltz of Hagerstown, Matthew Foltz of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, and Emily Foltz of Hagerstown; and one great-grandchild, Landen Goetz of Hagerstown. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Henry Calvin Foltz, II; one sister, Rosalyn M. Daugherty Shank; and two brothers, Irvin Willis Daughterty and Harold Franklin Daugherty. Family will receive visitors at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 11:00 a. m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. The Rev. Gregg Meserole will officiate. Interment will be following the service at Rest Haven Cemetery.
