NANCY MCCAULEY WHITE, 76, of Rochester, Michigan, left this earth to join her recently department husband of fifty-five years, Harry White. Nancy was born November 19, 1934 to Ralph A. and Anna Mary McCauley in Hagerstown, Maryland. Surviving family are three children, Mark (Susie) White of Charlottesville, Virginia, Stacy (Scot) Cleaveland of Troy, Michigan, Cindy Keepers of Roswell, Georgia; eight grandchildren; sisters, Doris Hoffman of Hagerstown, and Jane Noland of Lady Lakes, Florida; and brother, Ray L. McCauley of Hagerstown She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph (Lee) McCauley. She earned a degree from the Universtiy of Maryland. Nancy was a leader in the 4-H Club and won many awards for her homemaking and seamstress skills. Nancy was a tireless supporter and leader of many community organizations, including the Meadow Brook Music Festival Women's Committee, and (for over thirty years) the Crittenton Hospital Auxiliary. Nancy and Harry were inspirational leaders at the local and national levels for Presbyterian Mariners, a family-oriented adult fellowship organization, serving as National Skippers in 1980-81. Throughout her life, Nancy was active in her local church. She participated in many women's fellowship groups. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was a plainspoken woman with a zest for life, and a desire to serve others. A burial service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 11:00 a. m. at the Salem Reformed Church Cemetery, 13182 Salem Church Road, Hagerstown.
