Nancy Lou Wallech, 84, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Julia Manor.

Born June 13, 1942, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alberta (Wiles) Shoemaker.

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew Wallech, Sr.

Nancy was a loving and caring woman who found joy in the simple things in life. She loved playing bingo, tending to her flowers, and spending time in the kitchen cooking. Most of all, Nancy loved feeding people and making sure everyone around her was well cared for. Her generosity and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Nancy is survived by her four sons, Andrew Wallech, Jr. and wife, Cheryl, Tom Wallech and wife, Kathy, Dennis Wallech and wife, Krista, and Mark Wallech and wife, Sharie; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the caregivers and staff at Julia Manor Nursing Home for the exceptional care they gave Nancy. Their patience, kindness, and compassion brought comfort to her and peace of mind to our family.

The family would like to thank Nancy’s loving sisters, Shirley and Bonnie, who visited weekly, and to Bonnie for being by Nancy’s side until the end.

In lieu of flowers or memorial donations, the family kindly asks that toiletries be donated to Julia Manor, 333 Mill St., Hagerstown, MD 21740, in Nancy’s memory.
