NANCY ANTHONY MYERS, 80, of 11505 Greenberry Road, Hagerstown, MD, died on Monday, January 30, 2006 at her home. Born July 29, 1925 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul Edwin Anthony, Sr. and Ada Ellen Schnebly Anthony. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, Paul Rush Myers; they were married on August 16, 1947. She graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1944 and attended USO dances during W.W.II at the YMCA. In her later years she enjoyed the smiles and stories shared with friends of the D.C. dance community as swing dancers danced about the Spanish ballroom at Glen Echo Park, MD. She was previously employed with Fleisher's Department Store, Western Union, Howard's Paint Store, and was a substitute teacher with the Washington County Board of Education. She enjoyed the opportunity to work with children in guiding them with reading, writing and spelling. She was a life long member of the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren. She was a member of the Mother's Friendly Circle, the Mr. and Mrs. Class, taught Primary Sunday School, and was a choir mother for the children. She enjoyed volunteering at the Washington County Red Cross when it was on South Prospect Street and sharing time with the staff. She also volunteered with the Girl Scouts and the Washington County Grade Schools. She was a member of the American Legion, Morris Frock Post 42 Auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter, Deborah R. Myers of Hagerstown; one sister, Eileen Angle of Waynesboro, PA; one brother, Harry C. Anthony of Hagerstown; and a numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Paul E. Anthony, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p. m. Saturday at the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren. Rev. Edward L. Poling will officiate. Family will receive friends at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard on Friday from 7 to 9 p. m. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery on Monday at 11:00 a. m.
