Nancy Lee (Deatrich) Lapole, 75, of Williamsport, MD, passed away August 31, 2024 at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.

Born February 26, 1949 in Washington County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Helen (Detrow) Deatrich.

Nancy was a 1967 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. She was a person of remarkable ambition, who achieved great things through her own efforts. Her independence and unique qualities made her truly special.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Edward Lapole; three nieces, "daughter" Lisa Haupt her husband, Leroy, Annette Cline and her significant other, Denny Norris, and Brenda Kimble and her husband, Jeff; her nephew, Randy Cline and his wife, Marianne; her "grandson" Scott Haupt and his children, Isabella, Colton, Harper, and Theodore; great nieces and nephews; cousins, Rosie Martz and Gary Beall; and many loving friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rayetta Bond and Judy Yellot.

The funeral will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Shawn Buschman will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service (12-2pm).
