Nancy Arlene Crampton of Funkstown, MD passed away on October 29, 2025 at Homewood in Williamsport, MD. Born April 29, 1938 in Reedsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Olive and Gilbert Shirk.

Nancy began her working days at Harrisburg Bridge Building. She married Paul Crampton, Sr., and the couple moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, while Paul served in the armed forces. In 1961, they settled in Funkstown, Maryland, where Nancy built a beautiful life and career. She worked for Fairchild Hiller, the Washington County State's Attorney's Office, and later Paul Crampton Contractors, helping keep the family business running smoothly until her retirement.

Nancy is survived by her sister, Leona Fickle of Harrisburg, PA; her son, Paul Crampton, Jr., his partner Sandra Bass, and the mother of his children, Pamela Crampton; her daughter, Kendra Forcino, and Kendra's partner Robert Thomas. She was the beloved Mama, pronounced "MawMaw", to her grandchildren Jennifer King, Jamie Kline, Paul Crampton III, Taryn Crampton, and Lance Crampton, and her great-grandchildren Harper, Zoey, Avalon, Allison, and Kash. Mama was a constant source of love, laughter, and guidance, and her family will always cherish the special bond they shared with her.

A Celebration of Nancy's Life will be held on Sunday, November 9th from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Emerald Pointe Community Center. In honor of her favorite color, please wear something blue to celebrate her memory.

Nancy could light up any room, laugh until tears rolled down her cheeks, and make everyone feel like family. She loved a good peach martini, a sweet margarita, and any day spent at the beach with the people she loved most.
