Beloved Shri Minaxiben Mehta

We are deeply saddened to announce that Minaxiben Mehta ("Dadi") peacefully passed away at the age of 82 on November 8, 2025, in Hagerstown, MD.

Dadi was born on August 3, 1943, in Mumbai, India to Vrajlal Sunderji and TapiBen Mehta.

She was married to her beloved husband, Vinodrai Ratilal Mehta, for 63 years while raising three wonderful children: Kirti, Manish, and Dharmesh. Dadi was deeply committed as a mother to not only her children, but also to her nieces and nephews, who viewed her as a mother figure. In times of joy, sadness, and daily life, Dadi served as a pillar of strength and reason. She oriented her life around Seva (service in her mother tongue of Gujarati) and encouraged everyone to make Seva as a part of their ethos.

Dadi is survived by her husband, Vinodrai Ratilal Mehta; her children, Kirti and Chetna Mehta, Manish and Meghna Mehta, Dharmesh and Renu Mehta; her grandchildren, Arjun, Parth, Roma, Amit, Diya, and Ruchi; her siblings, Balwantbhai Mehta, Pusphaben Parekh, and Chandrakant Mehta.

A funeral service to honor Dadi's life will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
