MILTON RICHARD VAUGHN, 74, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his home. Born March 19, 1939, in MD, he was the son of the late Milton Harry Vaughn and Mildred Elizabeth Schaffer Vaughn Myers. Milton was preceded in death by two sons, Dewain and Terry Faith; one sister, Janice Day; and one grandson, Toby Harris. He is survived by his wife, Violet Flowers Vaughn; daughter, Deborah Stevens and husband, Edward, of Hagerstown; three grandsons, James Harris, David Harris, and Patrick Stevens; several great-grandchildren. Milton served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a cabinet maker; was a member of the Moose Club and V.F.W. He was of the Lutheran Faith. Services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Jeff Casto will officiate. Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Graveside military honors will be provided by Washington County AMVETS Post 10 and Marine Corp. League of Hagerstown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
