MILDRED IRENE CHURCHEY, 82, formerly of 401 Bentley Court, died on Monday, April 11, 2005 at Reeder's Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Maryland. Born January 21, 1923 in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Carl and Helen Jenkins Lushbaugh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Churchey, Sr. who died May 28, 2003. She was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Leitersburg. She was a founding member of Leitersburg Fire Company Auxiliary and was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary American Legion Frock Post 42. She is survived by two sons, Arthur Churchey Jr. of Hagerstown and Gary Churchey of Brentwood, California; a brother, Gordon Lushbaugh of Myersville, Md.; 3 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 7 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Churchey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Gene Renner will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
