MILDRED MARIE (MILLER/ANDREWS) HARPLE, 86, died on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Emeritus at Hagerstown (Loyalton). She was a life long resident of Hagerstown. Born February 5, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Irene Miller. She was previously employed by the Hagerstown Shoe Company, and later retired as a cook with Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home. Mildred was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, where she loved singing in the choir. She was a member of Queen Esther Chapter #3, O. E. S. She is survived by her husband, William A. Harple; a daughter, Linda Fields, and husband, John; a son, Darren Andrews, and wife, Petrea; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; a stepdaughter, Chris Harple; a stepson, Thomas Harple, and wife, Kathy; and one stepgranddaughter. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald R. Andrews; sisters, Irene Hutzell, Helen Miller, and Hilda Sprecher; a brother, Charles Miller; and a granddaughter, Paige Andrews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Robison will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7 to 9 p. m.
