MICHAEL BARRY "MIKE" TAYLOR, 65, of 1819 East Dutch Corner Road, McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Born November 8, 1943 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of Eileen Keller Taylor of Williamsport, MD and the late Palmer James Taylor. He was a 1962 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. He retired in 2000 from Corning Glass Company after thirty-three years of service. He was a member of New Light MCC of Hagerstown. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Miner Taylor of Hagerstown, MD; two daughters, Paige C. Helman and husband, Roger and Pamela K. Allen and husband, Brian all of Hagerstown, MD; brother, David A. Taylor and wife, Krisann of Lynchburg, MD; two granddaughters, Amanda Allen and Bethany Helman; two grandsons, Brandon Helman and Noah Allen; sister in-law, Jean Taylor of Hagerstown, MD; niece, Meghann Taylor of Lynchburg, VA two nephews, R. James Taylor of Hagerstown, MD and Matthew P. Taylor of Chambersburg, PA; friend, Harold M. Gress, Jr. of McConnellsburg, PA. He was preceded in by two brothers, Dennis J. Taylor and Robin L. Taylor. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Michael Hydes will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in McConnellsburg, PA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Maryland School for the Deaf Foundation, Post Office Box 636, Frederick, Maryland 21705.
