MICHAEL RAY McAFEE, 58, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at his home. Born March 28, 1956, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of Gerald McAfee of Hagerstown, and the late Edith Miller McAfee. He was a member of Mt. Briar Church of God. In addition to his father, Michael is survived by one daughter, Crystal Elliott and husband, Edward of Hartsville, Tennessee; six sisters, Donna Showe of Hagerstown, MD, Shirley Timmons, Debbie Herbert, Emma Snavely, Kathy Grimm and Diane Deener all of Keedysville, MD; two brothers, Gary McAfee of Keedysville, MD and Anthony McAfee of Falling Waters, WV; three grandchildren, Jasmine Elliott, Colt Elliott and Jett Elliott all of Hartsville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Barger; one nephew, Edward Keller; and a brother-in-law, William Snavely. Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Joseph Burdette will officiate. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
