Michael (Mike) Edward Fair, Sr., 73, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 27, 2025. Born on November 21, 1951, he was the eldest son, preceded in death by his parents, Frank Edward Fair and Jo Ann Elizabeth Fair (Hull). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant sister, Sheila Marie Fair, and the love of his life, Melinda Cardenas.

His five children survive him, Michael Lynn Fair and wife Holly of Hedgesville, WV; Kimberly Ann Dayley and husband Greg, of Mercersburg, PA; Michael Edward Fair Jr., of Summerfield, FL; Timothy Steven Fair of Falling Waters, WV, Brandon Lynn Fair of Martinsburg, WV, and close family friends Ashley Lowman and Ginny Clayton.

He is also survived by his sister, Colleen (Sis) Kreitz and husband Bob of Fairfield, PA; and his two brothers, Timothy Garnett Fair of Fairfield, PA, and Steven Wayne Fair and long-term partner Ruby of Clear Spring, MD, along with 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and his companion pup, Suzie, whom he loved greatly.

Mike was a painter by trade and thoroughly enjoyed painting anything that needed a touch-up, from a room in a house, a bicycle, a lawn mower, or at times, even a car. At a young age, Mike enjoyed hanging out with friends especially his best friend Denny Myers. Later in life, he became a homebody, preferring to stay at home snuggling with his beloved Suzie, or spending time with his niece Sabrina Rudisill and husband Terry of Hagerstown, both of whom he considered his own children.

Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown.
