MICHAEL DONOVAN ROHRER, 63, of Sharpsburg, Maryland, died Friday, January 25, 2013 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Born June 18, 1949, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of Mildred M. Eichelberger Rohrer of Sharpsburg, Maryland and the late Richard N. Rohrer. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the U. S. Air Force. He was a lifetime member of the Williamsport Red Men, Conococheague Tribe 84. He was also a member of the William D. Byron Post 1936 Veterans of Foreign Wars and Fraternal Order of the Eagles 694. He was formerly employed by Boat America, and the Downsville General Store. He was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School, class of 1967. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Gregory Rohrer, of Sharpsburg. Private graveside services will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Stanley Steele will officiate. Military honors will be provided by Washington County AMVETS Post 10 and Marine Corp. League of Hagerstown. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
