Obituary

Michael Brent Brosenne, known to all as Mike, moved on to be in heaven with his Lord and Savior on the 28th of June, 2025, in the rolling hills and pastures of Boonsboro, MD. Born on the 29th of September, 1954, in Olney, MD, Mike made his own path through life with a rare resilience of responsibility and unwavering spirit. He walked through life's challenges with the courage of David and the wisdom of Solomon.

Mike had a relentless pursuit of knowledge and desire for the mastery of many diverse crafts. Though he never donned the cap and gown of formal academia, Mike was a venerated alumnus of the School of Hard Knocks, his intellect and resolve sharpened by the whetstone of experience. He was also a top-quality grower in the greenhouse industry and that translated over to growing those around him as well...many times with that tough love he was so well known for.

His unbridled spirit led him to build Ravenwood Enterprises, a construction company known for its dedication to getting the job done with excellence, and he did that by commanding the respect of some of the toughest characters around. The ones that stuck close knew he challenged them because he truly loved and cared for them, and they loved him for it.

Mike's ventures also spanned into the catering realm, where his legendary "red sauce" and pit beef were called on for a nod to wow the guests of the Governor's Ball. His life was also a testament to the virtues of generosity as he volunteered his services for General Colin Powell's children's charity, America's Promise Alliance. Even in death, his legacy of giving endured, with twelve souls blessed by the gift of bone grafts, a final testament to his magnanimous spirit.

He was also an honored member of the local FFA, which is an accolade of highest esteem in the local community.

Mike's life was a testament to the virtues of generosity, handiness, and courage. He was a beacon of hope and a paragon of strength to all who knew him. His departure leaves behind a void in the hearts of those who cherished him, yet his memory shall remain eternally etched in their spirits.

He now joins his beloved son Brent Brosenne, his mother Barbara Brosenne, and his sister Debbie Geiger in the Kingdom of Heaven. Mike's earthly bonds are survived by his devoted wife, Sharon Brosenne; his son, Blake Brosenne; and his sisters, Lisa and Barbara Lee Brosenne. Their hearts, though heavy with grief, are fortified by the knowledge that Mike rests in the bosom of our Lord, his toils eased, his soul at peace.

As we bid farewell to Michael Brent Brosenne, let us not be downcast, for he hath taught us that life, though fleeting, is a canvas upon which we paint with our deeds and love. He hath shown that a man's worth is not measured in the scrolls of his qualifications, but in the legacy he leaves behind. Mike's story is one of triumph, not of tragedy; a narrative of a life well-lived and a race well-run.

Therefore, let us rejoice in the time we were graced with his presence and give thanks for the blessings he bestowed upon us. Mike's journey continues beyond the veil, his spirit guided by our Father in heaven, and in the hearts of those he touched, his memory will forever bloom like the flowers he so tenderly cultivated in life.
