Melodie Lucinda Frey, 87, of Boonsboro, MD, passed away, Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Doeys House. Born July 11, 1932 in Washington County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Thelma Marie (Alexander) Brown. Melodie was a 1950 graduate of Hagerstown High School and a member of Manor Church of the Brethren. She worked and supported the family dairy farm all her life and was a member of the Fairplay Volunteer Fire Company Ladys Auxilliary. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, James Frey. She is survived by two sons, James Frey, and wife, Mary, and Scott Frey, and significant other, Tracy; son-in-law, Roy Lescalleet; brother, Paul Brown, and wife, Lois; sister-in-law, Francis Norris; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Melodie was preceded in death by two daughters, Karen Pheabus, and Kristi Lescalleet; and two brothers, Kenneth and Calvin Brown. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
