Megan Rebecca Morningstar, 29, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 7, 1994 in Baltimore, MD to Howard Reno Morningstar Jr. and Marianne Hovis Morningstar.

Megan attended Easterseals of Hagerstown, Marshall Street School, South Hagerstown High School, and most recently, the Star Community Day Program. She had a multitude of hobbies, which included playing baseball for the Challenger League, bowling, horseback riding, music, and singing at church. Megan was known best for her happy attitude, persistent smile, ability to make new friends, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ralph Hovis and Linda Hovis, her paternal grandparents, Howard R. Morningstar Sr. and Patricia Morningstar, and her aunt, Patricia "Joey" Morris.

Megan is survived by her parents, Howard R. Morningstar Jr. and Marianne Morningstar, her siblings, Joshua Morningstar, Heather Morningstar, Aaron Morningstar and his wife, Candice, and Ryan Morningstar and his wife, Tyanna, and eleven beloved nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcomed for a Celebration of Megan's Life on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.
