May Elizabeth Hoffman, 68, of Hagerstown, MD passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023.

Born February 9, 1955 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Eugene and June Elizabeth (Funk) Harbaugh.

May was a 1973 graduate of Waynesboro (Pa.) Area High School and a 1975 graduate from Penn State University. She received a diploma in 1978 from the York Hospital School of nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from York College of Pennsylvania in 1986.

She worked as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Washington County Hospital/Meritus Medical Center. She retired in October 2021 after 43 years of dedicated service to her patients and community.

May is survived by her husband of 35 years, Andrew G. Hoffman; daughter, April E. Hoffman; son, Andrew E. Hoffman; and brother, Raymond E. Harbaugh.

No services will be scheduled.
