Maxine Butler Patterson, 91, of Williamsport, MD, passed away, Friday, March 1, 2024, at Homewood at Williamsport.

Born March 23, 1932, in Winchester, VA, she was the daughter of the late Maxwell Raymond Butler, Sr. and Beverley Virginia (Cline) Butler Staff.

Maxine was a member of Williamsport Country Club; Potomac Garden Club; and for over 70 years, Williamsport United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, watching the squirrels, and her Sunday rides.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard "Pat" Patterson, on March 22, 2022; and one half-brother, Maxwell "Little Max" Butler, Jr.

Maxine is survived by three daughters, Michelle "Bobsy" Price (Greg), Bev Meyers (Dave), and Terri Hornbaker (Steve); one son, Chip Patterson (Joni); eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and four half-sisters, Nancye Marinos, Rosa Hawkins, Rhonda Mills, and Jackie Butler.

Services will be held 11am Friday, March 8, 2024, at Williamsport UM Church, 25 E. Church St., Williamsport, MD. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
