Mary V. Young, 76, of Fairplay, MD, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at her home. Born December 30, 1941 in Williamsport, MD, she was the daughter of the late Silas and Helen (Toasten) Alsip. Mary was previously employed with Kneppers in Clear Spring, Park Circle Restaurant, Boonsboro Legion, Ravenwood Nursing Home, and Home Health Care. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Young Jr.; daughter, Debra Bailey of Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Darryl C. Moore, Jr. and wife, Cindy, of Chambersburg, PA; brother, Richard Shirley of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren, Braton Moore and Mikayla Moore; a half-sister and a half-brother. There will be no viewing or service. Arrangements made by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
