MARY LOUISE WALTER, 72, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died Saturday, October 13, 2012 at her home. Born December 10, 1939 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George W. Demmitt and Ellen L. Ecobona Demmitt. She was preceded in death by her husband of over forty years, William Walter. She was employed with Homewood Nursing Home in Williamsport, MD. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mary is survived by two sons, Michael Miller of Hagerstown and Timothy Walter of Chambersburg, PA; four sisters, Shirley Mozingo of Hagerstown, Nancy King of Sharpsburg, Janice Sweigert and Barbara Carter both of Hagerstown; one brother, Robert Demmitt of Williamsport; one granddaughter, Kimberly Miller; three grandsons, Jeffery Miller, Christopher Miller and Miles Walter; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 West Washington Street, Hagerstown. The Rev. James Nirappell will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
