MARY ELLEN THOMAS, 84, of Hagerstown, Md., died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Washington County Hospital. Born August 12, 1925 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Connelly and Louise McVicker Connelly. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas and her son, Robert Thomas. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School. She was employed at Potomac Center as a direct care worker on Cottage #5 and retired in 1995. She is survived by three sons, Stephen Thomas and wife Ana Morganello of Bethlehem, Pa., Michael Thomas and wife Olivia Sellers of Roswell Ga. and Pat Thomas and wife Kathy of Las Vegas, NV, a daughter Mary "Terrie" Rubino and husband Dr. Jeffrey Rubino of Hagerstown; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Michael Hydes will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
