MARY GENEVIE "JENNY" SPRANKLE, 101, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Ravenwood Lutheran Village, Hagerstown, Maryland. Born August 23, 1909, in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late George and Florence Myers Mosser. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Raymond E. Sprankle on June 19, 1987. She was retired from Hagerstown Shoe Company after forty-six years. She was a member of Christ's Reformed Church. She was a member of the Homemaker's Club, and loved needlework and reading. She is survived by twin daughters, Beverly Smith of Dundalk, Maryland, and Barbara Adams of Middletown, Maryland; one son, Larry R. Sprankle of Hagerstown; ten grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, William L. Sprankle; two sisters, Isabel Rohrer, and Catherine Cosey; and one brother, Glenn Mosser. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Gregg R. Meserole will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
