MARY FRANCES RECHER, 82, of Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport, Maryland, died on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Meritus Medical Center. Born November 29, 1929 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Earl Josiah and Mabel Virginia Wagner Recher. She taught school for thirty years in the Montgomery School system. She served as a missionary in British Guyana from 1960 to 1963. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Williamsport, Maryland. She is survived by brother, James Recher of Bethesda, Maryland; niece, Barbara Davis of Fairfax, Virginia; nephew, Gary Recher of Smithsburg, Maryland; great-nieces and great-nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Recher. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p. m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, 35 West Potomac Street, Williamsport, Maryland. The Rev. W. Gregory Martin will officiate. Graveside services will be private. There will be no viewing.
