MARY SUSAN BEAVER POWELL, 79, of 230 Pangborn Blvd., Hagerstown, Md. died on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at her home. Born December 18, 1926 in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Roy Nelson and Susan Nora Hykes Beaver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lloyd Powell. She was a member of Longmeadow Church of the Brethren. She had formerly been employed with Gabriel Toys. She is survived by three daughters, Helen Susanne Mongan of Clear Spring, Peggy Keefer and Patsy Patricia Valgene, both of Hagerstown; a sister, Lucretia Pat Beasley of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd A. Beaver Sr. and Roy Nelson Beaver Jr. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery, 600 S. Potomac Street, Hagerstown, Md. The Rev. Duane Strickler will officiate. Family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
