Mary Ann (Wiles) Moats, born August 7, 1932, died after a brief illness at Williamsport Retirement Village on August 13, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Wiles) Purdham and the late John G. Wiles and stepdaughter of the late Leon Purdham, Sr. She was the widow of Albert M. Moats who died in 1995. She is survived by a son, David A. Moats and his wife, Patti of Hagerstown, one step-grandson, Donald Trumpower and his wife, Michelle, and two great-grandchildren of NC, a brother, Leon E. Purdham, Jr. of Hagerstown, and many nieces and nephews. She retired from the Board of Education. She was a member of U.A.W., 1590 and AARP. Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd in Hagerstown. A graveside service will be held for family only.
