MARY KATHRYN MC AFEE, 77, of 1059 Florida Avenue, Hagerstown, Md., died on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at her home. Born December 4, 1929 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Walter Addison and Victoria Ruth Creek Bishop. She grew up in West Sidling Hill and graduated in 1948 from Hancock High School. She was a former member of West End Homemakers Club. She was of the Methodist faith. She was a loving mother who enjoyed gardening, travel and shopping. She is survived by her husband, Raymond D. McAfee, Sr.; a son, Raymond McAfee, Jr. and wife Sharon of Hagerstown; brother Marvin W. Bishop of Hagerstown; nieces and nephews and a very helpful niece, Donna Hovermill of Hagerstown. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jane Husted and a brother, Melvin Lewis Bishop. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Hagerstown, Md. Chaplain Steve Taylor will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
