MARY C. (KAYE) LUM, 81, of 12913 Salem Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at her home. Born October 17, 1925 in Washington County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John William and Mazie Ann Moore Shupp. She was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married on October 17, 1946, Harold Vaughn (Bud) Lum on October 4, 2000. She was a graduate of Clear Spring High School. She was previously employed with the Western Maryland Railroad as a secretary to the chief dispatcher. She was a member of the New Covenant Fellowship Church, and taught Sunday School at Grace United Methodist Church for forty-one years. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Louise Lum Martin of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; one son, Darryl V. Lum Sr. of Hagerstown; one sister, Margaret E. Mason of Williamsport, Maryland; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Frances V. McCullough; and four brothers, John S. Shupp, Paul K. Shupp, William S. Shupp, and Joseph P. Shupp. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Robert L. Martin Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
