Mary Susan (Susie) Lucas, 74, of Williamsport, Maryland passed away Saturday August 30, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center. Born November 11, 1950, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Goldie Leona (Mills) Lucas and Austin Lloyd Lucas Sr.

Susie graduated in 1968 from South Hagerstown High School, where she was a majorette. She was last employed at the Williamsport Retirement Village in Williamsport, MD and was previously employed with Verizon as a customer service representative.

Susie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be remembered for her caring compassion and dedication to family.

She is survived by her son Franklin James Palmer and wife Jennifer, grandchildren Jade and James. Also, she is survived by brothers, Richard E." Skip" Magner and wife Deborah and Austin Lloyd "Ollie" Lucas Jr, nieces Sandy Barnhart, Tammy Bishop, Barbara Drury, and Michelle Ebersole, nephews Rick Magner, Tony Magner, and John R. Lucas, great-niece Bethany A. Carbaugh and great-nephew Andrew P. Magner.

She was preceded in death by sister Crystal L. (Maupin) Moats, brothers Larry Wayne Maupin Sr, Donald Lee Maupin, Gary L. Lucas, and Joseph A. Lucas.

A Memorial Service will be held 5pm Friday, September 19, 2025, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD 21740.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Friday, September 19, 2025.
