MARY ALCESTA KELLER, 99, of Maugansville, Maryland, died Friday, September 3, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Maugansville, Maryland. Born August 11, 1911 in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Annie Kyler Horst. She was preceded in death by husband of fifty-seven years, Clyde R. Keller in 1991. She was a member of State Line United Methodist Church. She was the oldest surviving member of the church. Mary is survived by three daughters, Deborah Lauricella of Maugansville, Lana Strauss and husband, John of Phoenix, Arizona and Betty Banzhoff of Hagerstown, MD; one son, Edward Keller and wife, Beverly of Hagerstown, MD; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Amy Hartman and Ellen Kicklighter; six brothers, Charles Horst, James Horst, Clyde Horst, Paul Horst, Harry Horst and Guy Horst. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Steven S McCullough will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. before the service. Memorial donations may be made to State Line U.M.
