Mary Jo Kauffman, 76, of Hagerstown. MD. passed away peacefully at her home on May 24, 2026.

Born June 3, 1949, in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Samuel Cain and Jennie Viola (Pentoney) Cain.

Mary Jo shared 57 loving years of marriage with her devoted husband, Warren Kauffman III. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.

She is survived by her children, Melissa (Kauffman) Eaches; Robert "Bobby" Kauffman and his wife, Holly; and Stephanie (Kauffman) Myers and her husband, Terry Myers, Jr. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Haley, Micah, Kylie, Lily, Ava, and Jenna, and cherished her role as great-grandmother to Violet and Daisy.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jo was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Kesecker.

Mary Jo was a 1967 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School. A talented pianist and organist, she faithfully shared her musical gifts with several churches throughout the years. She was deeply family-oriented and found great joy in caring for those she loved. Known for her wonderful cooking and warm hospitality, Mary Jo was an exceptional homemaker whose home was always filled with comfort, kindness, and love.

The funeral will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Kasiesville Bible Church, 12639 Fort London Rd., Mercersburg, PA 17236. Pastor Greg Keel will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the service.
