MARY ELLEN (DUCKIE) HOLDER, 79, of Rohrersville, Maryland, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Moran Manor in Westernport, Maryland. Born January 29, 1934 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Harry Jacob and Gertrude Sada Messner Jones. Mary graduated from Hagerstown High School. She worked as a GNA at Autumn Assisted Living. Her main interests were spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Holder, Sr. who died January 6, 1982. Mary is survived by two sons, Robert (Bob) L. Holder, Jr. and wife Carol, Glenn Holder and wife Deanna; four grandchildren, Scott Holder and wife Jennifer, Ginny Walker and husband Carty, Devin Holder, and Grace Holder; five grandchildren, Savannah, Luke, Shiannia, Jadlyn, and Jasmine. She is preceded in death by her brother Harry (Jack) Jones. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 27th, 11:00am, at Boonsboro Cemetery. The Rev. Darrell L. Layman will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
