MARY BENNER "BENNIE" GLADHILL, 92, of Williamsport, MD, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Homewood at Williamsport. Born April 5, 1925 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Milton and Caroline Mabel (Mehring) Benner. Mary was previously employed by the Mohler Pipe Organ Co. She was a member of Christ Reformed Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and volunteer secretary. She is survived by one daughter, Linda G. Bottenus, of Poolesville, MD; one son, Alan G. Gladhill and wife, Debra, of Hagerstown; two grandchildren, Jason Bottenus and wife, Stephanie of Minneapolis, MN, and Anne Bottenus of Poolesville, MD; two great grandchildren, Sadie and Scout Bottenus both of Minneapolis, MN; and one sister, Beatrice May Harness, of Gettysburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Calvin Gladhill; five brothers, John, Kenneth, Charles, Earl, and Donald Benner. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Dr. G. Derrick Hodge will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in her name to Christs Reformed Church, 130 W. Franklin St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
