Mary Chrystene Files, 86, of Hagerstown, passed away, Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Doey's House. Born December 25, 1934 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Margaret Louise (Baker) Rohrer. Mary was a 1952 graduate of Hagerstown High School and retired from Tri State Electric with 22 years of service. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and AARP. She is survived by her beloved granddaughter and best friend, Casie Christine Files; two sisters, Evelyn Mellott, and Patricia Rohrer; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Thomas Files; one son, Leslie T. Files, II; two sisters, Vivian Knode and Doris Eichelberger; and three brothers, Robert, Donald, and Richard Rohrer. Funeral services will be held 1pm Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Ron Schlak will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9pm, Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at the funeral home.
