Mary Elizabeth Fay, 96, of Hagerstown, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 12, 2018. She died at Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro, MD. Born in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Jobie Barnhart and Mildred Troupe Barnhart. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Maugansville Bible Brethren Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Carl T. Fay, in 1989. She is survived by two daughters, Carlene Rowe and husband Jerry, and Donna Kipe and husband Rick, both of Hagerstown; one son, Gary Fay and wife Sharon of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren: Katrina Gruet, Todd Rowe, Andy Kipe, Nicole Mann, Travis Fay, Zachary Fay, and Adam Fay; ten great-grandchildren: Chelsea Gruet, Caleb Gruet, Joel Rowe, Olivia Rowe, Alex Mann, Katelyn Mann, Chloe Fay, Jake Fay, Eliana Fay, and Everett Fay; and one great-great-grandchild, Charlotte Rowe. Services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Maugansville Bible Brethren Church, 17904 Binkley Ave., Maugansville, MD. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Mike Carey and Chad Carter will officiate. Burial will be in the Broadfording Church Cemetery following the service. A celebration of life will be held in the family life center at Maugansville Bible Brethren Church following the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maugansville Bible Brethren Church Missionary Fund.
